Hearts and ears eagerly awaiting the message of hope and good news.
Anyone with experience in African hospitality understands the warmth and enthusiasm that characterizes the people of Africa. However, it’s all the more heart-wrenching to be in environments where individuals grapple with daily struggles for survival. These battles encompass fighting against hunger, poverty, political instability, and diseases. This dire reality is particularly prevalent in the poorest regions of Africa, such as northern Kenya and South Sudan near the Horn of Africa, where the majority of the population lives below the poverty line.
These harsh conditions often breed violence, prostitution, drug and alcohol abuse, robberies, and theft of essential resources like livestock and food. Vulnerable populations, especially women, face discrimination and oppression. This overwhelming situation cries out for a solution, one that goes beyond human efforts. Without the power and love of God’s intervention, many outreach and ministry endeavors would be like a drop of water in the desert.
However with Him, everything can change.
